One of our recent projects we have had the pleasure of working on was with a nationwide environmental company called Wildland Consultants Ltd and Tauranga City Council.
It was a project to remove an established plantation of bamboo that had taken over a large area of a reserve at the side of wetlands in Tauranga.
The area we have currently cleared is approximately 3500sqm of solid bamboo on a very steep slope.
Unfortunately we had to contend with multiple storms and consistent bad weather soaking the slope. It made for a challenging job, but the final result of the cleared area so far is definitely going to be worth it.
With Tauranga City Council and Wildlands expert skills this is going to develop into a brilliant area for people, bird life and native plants in the future.
